Announced over the weekend were the UDIAWA (Urban Design Institute of W A) Awards.
Awarded for the work that has already taken place at the site. I.e. The conversion and subdivision of the old movie theatre into aprox 36 single residential lots. The awards also recognise the landscaping and environmental aspects of the subdivision.

New kids on the block, the Town of Claremont, took out the Rising Star Award for their Lakeway Drivein Redevelopment.
The Rising Star is awarded to a developer that has never entered the Awards for Excellence previously.
“Lakeway is positioned in a prime location overlooking Lake Claremont on a site steeped in local
history,” Ms Goostrey said.
“The Town of Claremont has done a fantastic job in retaining 30% of the site for public open space andmaintaining its natural features,” Ms Goostrey said.
